Welcome! The African American Artsfestival Committee's 19th Annual Cultural Arts Festival is presented by Cox Communication. It is one of the largest cultural festivals in the Heart of Florida! Our festival attracts visitors from all over the State of Florida, while our vendors come from all over the United States and Africa. We feature arts, crafts, African clothing, ethnic food and of course entertainment. In addition to the cultural enrichment we offer, we focus on health screenings, educational information about health issues and job opportunities from local entities. The festival has been in existence since 1989. The organization was founded by Norman Powell, whose vision was to bring grass root entertainment and cultural awareness to the citizens of Marion County with a Juneteenth Celebration. We have grown since then, but our mission is still the same: "to ring cultural enrichment to the community through education, awareness and understanding."
